Planning
On Tuesday, December 9, the House began the budget discussion of General Affairs and the Kings budget. In the week of March 10, the last budget discussions are scheduled: Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, and Social Affairs and Employment.
Elections
The aim of parliament and government is to have the national budget, presented on Budget Day, approved before January 1. This means approval by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. Ministries can then start implementing policies immediately in the new year. Due to the elections on October 29, the budget debates for the individual ministries will take place this time in the December-March period, after the new members have taken office.
