The Final Design (FD) of the Gate of Buijtenland is ready. The Gate of Buijtenland is intended to be an attractive recreational area including hospitality services. It is the main entrance to the Buijtenland of Rhoon. The Province of South Holland is responsible for the development of the gate area.
Final Design
During a well-attended walk-in evening on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the FD was presented. A summary of the FD can be found below. Naturally, the FD is more detailed than the Preliminary Design (PD 2021). A planting plan has been drawn up, lighting will be installed in the parking lot, and the furniture has been selected and drawn in.
Market Exploration Started
The Gate consists of 3 building plots that still need to be developed. Financially capable (recreational) entrepreneurs are being sought, fitting the Buijtenland of Rhoon. The destination for the building plots is that at least one hospitality establishment will be created with an information point featuring play nature.
