The KNMI podcast is back! In the new season, KNMI experts Rubert Konijn and Rob Sluijter continue discussing everything about weather, climate, and seismology. Each episode, the hosts talk with experts inside and outside KNMI about current topics.
Northern Lights, a missing central nave, and the codes
The first episode focuses on resilience. The presenters discuss space weather and the chance of seeing the Northern Lights in the Netherlands with Eelco Doornbos. Rob Groenland also talks about why the Dom in Utrecht no longer has a central nave. Following that, Jorinde de Groot explains the weather warnings – code yellow, orange, or red – and how great it is that we can pinpoint where a thunderstorm will hit a quarter of an hour in advance, so you can act immediately.
Music
The KNMI podcast features recurring segments such as the weather flash, climate in brief, and the Listeners Question (submit via informatiecentrum@knmi.nl with subject Listeners Question). There are also calls with one of our partners. Each episode ends with music related to the weather.
A new episode is released every two weeks on popular podcast apps.
