His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Máxima will assist on the morning of Friday, March 13, in a volunteer activity of NLdoet organized by the Oranje Fonds. Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands will participate in a volunteer activity on the afternoon of Friday, March 13. NLdoet is taking place for the 22nd time this year.
The Royal Couple will roll up their sleeves at a residential care location in Hoofddorp, where elderly and vulnerable people live with appropriate care and support. Here they will help residents and other volunteers to renovate the inner gardens.
Princess Beatrix will assist in caring for the animals at a petting zoo in Amsterdam.
NLdoet will take place this year on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14. At more than 7,000 locations in the Netherlands, everyone can get acquainted with volunteer work in an accessible way and experience what it is like to do something for others. For example, by helping to renovate the community center, assisting at a Food Bank location, or undertaking activities with the elderly.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are patrons of the Oranje Fonds. The Oranje Fonds is committed to a connected society in which everyone can participate and no one stands alone.
