His Majesty the King and Her Majesty Queen Máxima received the participants of the Ambassadors Conference on Monday, February 2, at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. Her Royal Highness Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Prof. Mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven were present at the reception, as well as Minister Van Weel of Foreign Affairs and Minister De Vries for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation.
From Monday, February 2 until Thursday, February 5, the annual Ambassadors Conference takes place. The Dutch ambassadors, permanent representatives, and consuls-general working worldwide for the Netherlands are then in The Hague for a working conference on how they represent the interests of the Netherlands abroad. During the Ambassadors Conference, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomats deepen contacts with politics, business, aid organizations, knowledge institutions, and social organizations in the Netherlands.
