On Monday, December 15 and Monday, December 29, 2025, Customs seized a total of 258 kilograms of heroin during an inspection of two so-called identical oil boilers.
During the inspection, Customs officers discovered 406 packages of heroin hidden inside the machines. After dismantling the oil boilers, 152 kilograms of heroin were removed from one machine on December 15, and 106 kilograms were removed from the other machine on December 29.
The two containers with cargo originated from Dubai and were destined for companies in Germany.
The drugs have since been destroyed.
HARC team
The HARC team, a 30-year-old collaboration between Customs, FIOD, Port Police and the Public Prosecution Service in Rotterdam, is further investigating the case.
