339 drivers in Nieuw-Vennep and Hoofddorp checked for driving under the influence of alcohol

On January 17, 339 drivers in Hoofddorp and Nieuw-Vennep were checked for alcohol use. Alcohol affects your attention, reaction speed, and vision, endangering traffic safety.
On the Hoofdweg in Nieuw-Vennep and the Spoorlaan in Hoofddorp, drivers of cars, vans, and scooters were checked. One driver tested positive for alcohol. During the check, drug tests were also conducted, with one driver testing positive on a saliva test.
Additionally, four fines were issued for not wearing a seatbelt and for driving without or with incorrect lighting.
