On January 20, 2026, the Dutch police arrested a 26-year-old man from Amsterdam for possible involvement in a shooting incident in Hamburg, Germany, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, where a 49-year-old man was shot in a café. He is suspected of having a facilitating role. The exact role of the suspect is still under investigation.
The shooter, a 15-year-old boy from Hoorn, was previously convicted by the German court.
The Dutch police are investigating possible Dutch involvement, suspecting that they facilitated the convicted boy in committing the shooting incident.
