Investigation by Flexteam
Based on information from foreign colleagues, the Flexteam, in collaboration with the Heuvelland Basic Police Team, started an investigation. The police quickly tracked down two suspects. During a meeting with a third suspect in a car, three men (a 27-year-old man from Vaals, a 24-year-old man from Vaals, and a 29-year-old man from Belgian Sankt Vith) were arrested. In the car, among other things, 15 seals of cocaine, 100 XTC pills, and 220 grams of amphetamine were found and seized.
Pokémon cards
Additionally, a house was searched. Various substances were seized here as well, including a sheet of LSD stamps printed as Pokémon cards, 250 packages of kamagra, 240 XTC pills, 900 grams of amphetamine, and 36 blank cartridges. A fourth suspect (a 21-year-old woman from Vaals) was arrested in connection with this.
A fifth suspect has also been arrested. This is a minor boy from Vaals.
The investigation continues unabated, and more arrests are not excluded.
Regional cooperation
Due to the large number of border areas, it is important for the Limburg unit to cooperate well. The investigation into drug trafficking came in via the foreign police. This information eventually reached the Flexteam South-West Limburg.
