In recent weeks, three men aged 30 from Geesteren, 39 from Nijverdal, and 22 from Wierden have been arrested. They are suspected of committing public violence. The investigation team has been busy over the past month reviewing footage and verifying incoming information.

The individuals who arrived around half past ten in the morning wearing hoodies and face coverings began damaging property and sought confrontation. It is suspected that there was prior contact with a group present in the café at that time. Investigations revealed that before the damage was caused, they were also preparing for a conflict.

Approach to football violence

The police, Public Prosecution Service, KNVB, Heracles Almelo, PEC Zwolle, and the relevant municipality all agree that football vandalism and violence must be tackled. Click for more information.

The three arrested men identify themselves as supporters of Heracles Almelo. Further arrests are not excluded.
