In recent weeks, around fifty license plates of offenders have been recorded using cameras. Reports will be filed against these drivers. Enforcement will also be intensified and targeted in the coming months.
Cooperation between police and municipality
The police and municipality of Almere are working together to reduce nuisance. With the additional enforcement, the police send a strong signal that these disturbances of public order will not be tolerated.
Mayor Hein van der Loo: “Racing and driving recklessly do not belong on public roads. Together with the police, we are doing everything we can to stop these practices. We want our residents and entrepreneurs to feel safe in their own neighborhood and business area.”
