At around 11:30 PM, the police received a report of a violent theft on Striepseweg in Baarland. The victim had made an appointment with an alleged seller to sell his scooter. During the meeting, the buyer was allowed to take a test ride, after which two more boys joined. The three boys pulled the victim into their car and drove a short distance with him. They then threw him out of the car and assaulted him. The victims phone was also stolen.
The police arrived immediately on the scene. The suspects had already fled. After extensive investigation, the police were able to arrest the three boys. On Monday, October 6, 2025, the police arrested a 19-year-old and a 20-year-old boy from Kwadendamme. On Friday, October 10, 2025, the third suspect was also arrested. This was an 18-year-old boy from Bergen op Zoom. The boys are currently still in custody.
