The two boys turned themselves in to the police after footage of the robbery was shown on the regional crime program Bureau Rijnmond. The footage shows how the snackbar was robbed on Friday, November 14.

It was about quarter to nine in the evening when two boys dressed in dark clothes with hoods over their heads and collars pulled high over their faces entered the snackbar. One of them had a knife and told one of the employees to empty the cash register. Because the cash drawer would not open, the robbers fled empty-handed, leaving the employees, two of whom were minors, in great shock and fear.

The boys were arrested after they turned themselves in. They will be brought before an examining magistrate.
