The man is suspected of being involved in the death of a 78-year-old woman from Bunschoten. On October 21 last year, this suspect was arrested in Serbia and taken into provisional custody, after which Serbia was requested to extradite him. The suspect will be presented to the examining magistrate on February 13, who will decide whether he remains in custody.

Seriously Injured
The 78-year-old woman from Bunschoten was found seriously injured in her home at Harderwijker Bank in Bunschoten on June 6, 2025, and died two days later in the hospital. When officers arrived at the home that day, part of the house was in disarray. A window at the front of the house was also broken. A Large-scale Investigation Team (TGO) was immediately started and has been conducting the investigation since then. See also here.
