“Your mobile number appears in a police investigation into threats against the director of Feyenoord. Stop this. These messages may be punishable by law.” This message was received by a large group of people on their phones Wednesday afternoon. The police investigation has revealed that calls or messages were made from these phones to Feyenoord director te Kloese. These are the first phone numbers identified in the investigation. The investigation continues, and new numbers and individuals may still emerge.
Whether the content of the calls and/or messages is actually punishable is currently being reviewed per message together with the Public Prosecution Service. If the messages prove to be punishable, the police and Public Prosecution Service will consider appropriate follow-up actions on a case-by-case basis. Arrests are certainly not excluded.
