The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) warns about the product Percita vital plus. It is offered, among others, on the website powervital.eu as a dietary supplement for improved sexual performance. Laboratory tests have shown that this product contains sildenafil. Sildenafil is prohibited in dietary supplements and poses serious health risks. The NVWA advises not to buy or use these pills.

The product is promoted as natural, with safe and effective ingredients to boost libido. The harmful ingredient is deliberately omitted from the label. Sildenafil is only allowed in approved medicines prescribed by a doctor. These medicines may only be used under medical supervision due to the risk of side effects and conditions. Possible side effects include chest pain, headache, stomach complaints, muscle pain, dizziness, or blurred vision. In combination with certain heart medications, this substance can cause dangerously low blood pressure.

Anyone who has used the product and experiences side effects should consult a doctor. Side effects of these products can also be reported to the Lareb Side Effects Center.

Report sellers

The NVWA strongly advises consumers not to buy such products via the internet or social media. Often, such products are sold on websites outside the Netherlands, where the NVWA has no supervision. Anyone who still finds such products on the Dutch market is asked to report this to the NVWA.
