Why this ban?

In and around this area, there has been an increase in nuisance, drug trafficking, intimidation, vandalism, fights, and shouting in recent months. To stop this, the ban applies to groups gathering without reason and causing nuisance.

What does this gathering ban mean?

  • You may not loiter with three or more people if it causes or may cause nuisance.
  • The police or enforcement officers can order you to leave.
  • If you do not comply, you may receive a fine or penalty.

Where and when does the ban apply?

The ban applies for 6 months from February 24 to August 24, 2026, at the following locations:

  • De Stadswetering
  • Weerwater (except Flevo Hospital)
  • De Pier
  • Olstgracht
  • Giethoornbrug
  • Coevoordensingel
  • Delfzijlsingel
  • Hoogezandstraat
  • Landvoogdpad
  • J. Algerapad

The mayor can end or extend the ban earlier if necessary.
