Spring is in the air, the days are getting longer: the perfect moment to get back on your bike. On Wednesday, April 1, we kick off the Doortrappen season together in Leeuwarden with a fun and completely free 26-kilometer bike ride. Join us, enjoy the route, meet other participants, and experience a sporty and relaxing day!

Doortrappen Fryslân invites everyone who wants to cycle again with confidence and pleasure. The route is relaxed, clearly marked, and designed to be ridden at your own pace.
What does the day look like?
The morning starts at the ANWB store in Leeuwarden, where participants are welcome for reception and an optional helmet check.
- 09:45 – Registration at the ANWB store and (optional) helmet fitting
- 10:00 – Group warm-up and festive start with a DJ
- 10:10 – Official opening
- 10:15 – Start of the bike ride
Halfway there is a cozy stop at Dorpshuis d’Ald Skoalle in Bears:
- 11:00 – 12:30 – Coffee and cake
- Opportunity to visit Poarte and Uniastate Bears
- Practical tips on safe and comfortable cycling
After the break, participants cycle back to Leeuwarden at a relaxed pace:
- 12:00 – 13:00 – Return to the ANWB store
- Return or (if enthusiastic) purchase a bike helmet
