End of Support Packages for Jobs and Economy

The cabinet will stop the generic support measures on October 1st that have helped the Dutch economy as much as possible during the corona crisis over the past year and a half. This means that the NOW, TVL, Tozo, TONK schemes and various tax measures will not be extended from that date. The restrictive measures have largely been lifted, the economy is fully operational again, and unemployment is low. Continuing the support would hinder economic recovery. A number of specific supporting measures will remain in effect in the fourth quarter, as well as additional measures aimed at retraining and the adaptability of the economy. The cabinet is working on a scheme for the nightlife sector, which is expected to remain closed after October 1st.
