Announcement from the Cabinet of the King:
His Majesty the King received formateur Jetten on the afternoon of Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. The formateur informed the King about the completion of the formation phase and the final report that he submitted today to the chairman of the House of Representatives. It is now established that all democratic and constitutional requirements have been met, based on which on Monday, February 23, 2026, in accordance with articles 43, 46, and 49 of the Constitution, the new ministers and state secretaries will be appointed by Royal Decree and sworn in before the King.
