Entering Zeewolde and being welcomed by the towering WIJ FLEVOLAND letters is possible from Monday, March 16. The letters are located along Zeewolderweg, near the Havenkwartier. An ideal place where living, water, and recreation come together.  

Zeewolde has the honor of giving a positive turn to the WIJ FLEVOLAND journey. The letters were unveiled in Urk at the end of January, where unfortunately they were vandalized a week later. After repair and cleaning, they are ready to go again with a fresh look. And it is no coincidence that this renewed journey starts in Zeewolde.  

WIJ FLEVOLAND values in Zeewolde 

The youngest village in the Netherlands is known for its green, open community strongly connected to water and nature. But Zeewolde is also about sustainability, caring for each other, and creating and nurturing a safe, healthy community together. Values that fit well with the we-feeling that made Flevoland great. Residents, entrepreneurs, organizations, and institutions who live, work, learn, create, and innovate together here. Together they build Flevoland. That is what WIJ FLEVOLAND is about.  

The letters along Zeewolderweg form the entrance to the unique, outside-the-dike Havenkwartier: a special place where living and water come together. The classic architecture of the Havenkwartier is inspired by Zuiderzee towns but dressed in a modern style, fitting for a young village like Zeewolde.

Journey of the WIJ FLEVOLAND letters
