Her Majesty Queen Máxima will visit family business ADG in Houten on Tuesday afternoon, October 14, which provides services in the sectors of facilities and care & safety. Several employers will share their experiences regarding customized pension information for their employees at ADG this afternoon. The visit also marks the start of the activation campaign for the annual Pension3 Days of the platform Wijzer in geldzaken, of which Queen Máxima is the honorary chair.

During a plenary program, employers such as ADG and other organizations, including a university and catering company, will explain how they communicate with their employees about pension matters. For example, many practically skilled people work at ADG. The organization has asked itself the question: “How do I inform my employees about pension provisions when there is multilingualism, low literacy, limited digital skills, and willingness to read”? During the plenary program, employers will explain methods that meet the information needs of their employees. Research by Wijzer in geldzaken from 2024 shows that 26 percent of practically skilled people are aware of their pension situation compared to 47 percent of people with a theoretical education.

Queen Máxima will subsequently speak in a small group with ADG employees about their experiences with pension information from their employer. ADG is a partner of the National Coalition for Financial Health (NCFG). This partnership of employers from the private and public sectors aims to make financial problems discussable and positively contribute to the financial health of their employees by scaling up effective initiatives. Queen Máxima is the driving force behind the NCFG as honorary chair of the SchuldenlabNL foundation.

The Pension3 Days will take place this year on November 11, 12, and 13. The goal is to raise awareness among the Dutch about the importance of understanding their pension situation and taking action when necessary for a financially healthy future.
