Male victims
Sextortion is a phenomenon that falls under the umbrella term “online sexual violence.” Perpetrators exploit fear and shame in victims. The motive for sextortion can be financial or sexual.
Men are often victims of sextortion committed with a financial motive. These male victims are often approached on dating apps for men.
