At around 8:10 AM, a report came in that a car and a truck had collided head-on on the N231 near Nieuwveen. The road was closed in both directions to give emergency services space. Unfortunately, the 50-year-old female driver of the car died at the scene. The Traffic Forensic Investigation Team is investigating the accident.
