Rijkswaterstaat will carry out resurfacing work on the A28 during the nights from Tuesday, February 24 to Friday, February 27, 2026, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM. The road will be closed northbound from the Ommen exit (21) to the Lankhorst interchange. Expect additional travel time of up to 30 minutes.
A28 Work
We are repairing damage to the road surface at multiple locations to ensure safety and traffic flow. The work consists of milling the asphalt layers and applying new asphalt layers and new markings.

A28 Detours
Traffic from Zwolle will be locally diverted. Towards the Hoogeveen interchange, use the N340 and N48. Through traffic towards Groningen and Leeuwarden is best routed via the N50, A6, and A7. Signs along and above the road indicate the detour routes.
