In Breda, the Work Center West Brabant opens: the new place where residents and employers can go with questions about work, education, and career. The Work Center brings together various organizations in one joint counter and works according to the principle ‘one entry, immediate help’.
Immediate Assistance
Whatever question someone has, it is immediately addressed. Whether it concerns finding (other) work, career advice, education or retraining, or support in taking the next step towards work. The guides and career advisors think along and ensure that the question reaches the right organization or specialist.
Alderman Marike de Nobel (work & income) explains: “Where you previously sometimes had to figure out yourself which organization to approach, that is now a thing of the past. The employee of the Work Center thinks along immediately and ensures, possibly behind the scenes, that the question reaches the right specialist. The Work Center fits into a broader movement within the social domain: accessible help, close to the resident and without unnecessary barriers.”
