In addition to meetings with the governors, prime ministers, and members of the Parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten, as well as the commissioners and island councils of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba, the visit includes a diverse program.
The visit starts in Bonaire, where the prime minister holds various discussions and delves into the history and nature. On May 10, he travels to Aruba. Here he visits a local business, the Horacio Oduber Hospital, and the Correctional Institute Aruba. The prime minister departs on May 11 for Curaçao, where he receives a tour of the naval base.
The next day, he travels to Sint Maarten, where he is informed about the themes of economic development, reconstruction, and good governance. On May 13, visits to Saba and Sint Eustatius are on the agenda. In Saba, the prime minister views projects focused on conservation and food security during a tour. In Sint Eustatius, there is a tour focusing on Statia 2026. At the end of the day, Prime Minister Schoof departs again for Sint Maarten. On May 14, among other things, a visit to the Cruise Terminal, as part of economic development, is on the agenda. Additionally, the prime minister visits the Courthouse and reconstruction projects that have started after the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma in 2017.
