On Saturday, February 7 at 6:10 AM, the police received a report of a robbery at De Stede in The Hague. The suspect allegedly threatened with a firearm and then took money from the cash register. The police immediately started an investigation.
Second robbery
On Sunday, February 15 at 11:50 PM, the police received a report of a robbery at Leyweg. In this robbery, the suspect also allegedly showed a weapon and took money from the cash register. After the robbery, the suspect fled. The police deployed multiple units to the scene but unfortunately found no one.
Arrest
Through the police investigation, a suspect came into view. On February 16, a 40-year-old man from The Hague was arrested on suspicion of committing both robberies. He will be presented to the examining magistrate tomorrow.
