Shortly after midnight, emergency services were called for a vehicle that had gone into the water on Meijelsedijk in Ospel. Despite resuscitation attempts, the driver, who was also the only occupant, died. Investigations revealed that the victim became unwell behind the wheel, veered off the road, and ended up in a ditch.
